1.Till what class are you admitting children as of 2018-19?


From LKG to Grade VIII.


2. What are the co-curricular activities in the school?


Co-curricular activities are essential ingredients to the development of life skills among children to help them be prepared for the challenges of the future. We address the three important aspects of child development through our CCA's – Head, Heart&Hand.

•Head refers to activities that trigger intellectual development.
•Heart kindles humaneness & ethical nature.
•Hand helps in tuning motor skills.

For 2018-19, the Vidyalaya offers the following activities - Bharathanatyam, Western dance,Aerobics Art & craft,Silambam, Yoga, Skating, Keyboard, Violin,Chess,Vocal,Throwball,Football,Table-tennis and Sculpture. Students can choose two activities out of the above list.

There activities are offered for students from Grade III upwards only.

There are some activities that are mandatory for students;
•Vocal/Puppet – I & II
•Art/Craft- I to IV
•Chess/Theatre arts – III & IV
•Art – VI – VIII
•Cookery/Gardening/Home skills - Grade V
•Art/Craft/Glass Painting - Grade V
•Various clubs - Grade VI upwards

3. Do parents contribute in any special ways to the development of Vidyalaya?


Parents are partners in the education and development of their children at the Vidyalaya. We have a structured process of inviting parents to be active members of the School Management Committee along with other areas.In the near future, we would also be inviting parents from different walks of life to share their experiences for the benefit of children.


4. Are there canteen facilities in school?


Yes, we have a canteen in our school.


5. How do you ensure the quality of the faculty of the school?


Great care is taken in the way we recruit our teachers - who we believe are the pillars of a great school. Along with the requisite academic and professional qualifications love of children, passion for perfection and love of learning are essential qualifications to be a Vallaba teacher. We believe that the right attitude is of great importance.


To ensure that we select faculty with the right attitude, we have put in place multiple processes for recruitment of teachers. It involves multiple psychometric tests and interviews by experts.


All teachers are on a year's probation before they are confirmed as a regular teacher to ensure that we retain the very best. Understanding the best uses of technology, interpersonal and communication skills are also key skills of the teachers at the Vidyalaya.


They are exposed to inspirational movies & role models.E.g. Teachers watched Taare zameen par (a Hindi movie about dyslexic children),Kuttram kadithal,English Vinglish,Cosmos as a part of enriching their skills.

Our teachers attend workshops on a regular basis (In-campus &amp Off-campus)based on the topics Dyslexia, Classroom management, Project-based learning, etc., to get themselves updated with the current trends in education.

6. What is the Vision that guides Vallaba Vidyalaya?


The Vidyalaya provides the students a safe environment that helps them in discovering their talent and skills. Our students will be well-rounded, responsible and exhibit a global outlook.


7. What kind of outdoor and indoor sports do you provide in the school campus?


Outdoor - 400m running track, cricket,football, kho-kho, volleyball, basketball.

Indoor - Chess, carom,Board games, Table tennis, Foosball.

We use Edusports curriculum and trainers for our primary grades.

8. Do you have Internet facility in your school?


Yes, the campus uses a dedicated 15 Mbps broadband line.


9. Do you have smart class-rooms?


If smart class-room refers to classrooms with smart students & teachers, then yes. We have smart classrooms. :) Jokes aside, all our class rooms have provisions to install projectors for technologically enabled learning. Apart from three I.T labs, four other rooms have projectors & speakers installed. Teachers pre-book the rooms based on their need.


10. What is the transport plan?


The School has comfortable buses(eleven of them) that ply on Alagarkovil road, New Natham road & Trichy road.More information and detailed route plan is available at the school office.


11. What will be the class strength?


Not beyond 30.


12. What aspects of child safety have been considered?


All systems and processes are in place to ensure the safety of the child in the school premises and while in the school bus. We have installed high resolution CCTV cameras on all entrances. We also have trained security staff guarding our gates.



Two of our nursery teachers nurses who can help students in case of emergency.

13. What are the timings of the school?


For the up coming year:
LKG to Grade II - 9:30 a.m - 2:30 p.m (all Saturdays off)
Grade III onwards 8:30 a.m - 3.30 p.m(Half working days on Saturdays)
The school timings are framed in such a way that younger children get more time at home to spend with parents.


14. Is your school a CBSE school?


Yes, The teaching-learning & assessment promote free thinking and enquiry. The CBSE affliation process is in progress.

16. Are the class rooms air-conditioned?


No. We have designed our spaces with excellent ventilation & abundant open areas + we are energy conscious from a sustainability point of view. So, we may not go for air-conditioning except for the computer/server room.


17. Does the school have swimming pools?


We don't have one currently. But we might come up with a splash pool sometime later.


18. What is the schools position on the RTE?


We shall follow the law of the land with reference to the implementation of RTE in our schools.
