It’s been a topic of wonder lately, on how children of this era are so engrossed with electronic devices. While playing; say a video game, a child is left to venture into the uncertainties which they themselves manage, to produce the end result. Venturing into uncertainties and discovering something new brings in enthusiasm. And children easily and quickly learn through hands-on rather from a guidebook.
In our Vidyalaya, students are left to discover the outcome of their own hypothesis through experiential learning. For; we strongly believe that understanding comes from doing, rather than being supplied with raw data. Each year, the school organizes a projects day which brings out various key skills a 21 st century child needs. It kindles the creativity in the child and empowers him to take ownership of his hypothesis. Making of projects not only teaches the underlying concept, but also time management, perseverance and presentation skills to the student.
And as natural seekers, children like it the best!
